Our Values
The Obesity Society is committed to improving the lives of those with obesity, nurturing careers of obesity scientists and practitioners and promoting the interdisciplinary nature of obesity research, management and education. In so doing, The Obesity Society, its members and staff pledge to uphold:

Our Members
The Obesity Society's membership reaches more than 2,000 basic and clinical researchers, who have published extensively, and care providers in obesity treatment and prevention.
Our Journal
The Obesity Society's official journal, Obesity,
is the leading journal in the field. It
is intended to increase knowledge, stimulate research and promote better
treatment for people with obesity. The journal publishes original scientific
articles, as well as relevant review articles, commentaries, and public
health and medical news.
Our Meeting
The Obesity Society’s Annual Scientific Meeting is the largest conference in North America focusing on obesity research, prevention, treatment, and management. Scientists, clinicians, industry leaders and policy shapers from around the world attend the conference to hear the most renowned leaders in the obesity field present cutting-edge research.
